Load N Go – roadside collection and delivery

 

This is our lowest cost solution and is aimed at customers with smaller part loads who are are able to carry all of their belongings to and from the van or for customers who have plenty of help on both collection and delivery to do the loading and unloading – the driver will assist on and off the van only.

EasyMoves – help from the driver – ground floor only

 

Our most popular low cost solution is aimed at customers with larger items or full house removals. Each of our Luton vans comes with one driver who will assist with the loading and unloading room to room – ground floor only. It is recommended that for each Luton van and driver provided by us that the customer should provide at least one able bodied person to assist. For example: 1 van = 1 extra helper or 2 vans = 2 extra helpers

 

Loading and unloading times

 

• Full Loads (1 van or more) = 5 hours loading & 3 hours unloading
• Part Loads (less than 16m³) = 3 hours loading & 3 hours unloading

Collection Day and Times

 

Part Loads   

 

Collection – Flexible collection 3 – 14 consecutive working day window, depending on chosen service.

Delivery   – Between 1 day and 2 weeks, depending on the chosen service – you are not able to choose a specific date between this time frame.

We do require someone to be available between the hours of 8am – 6pm for both collection and delivery. 

 

Please note: If you have been given an approx. time this has been done so in good faith, it is important for someone to be available all day as delays can sometimes occur due to multiple pick up and drop offs.

 

Full loads 

 

Collection day of your choice Monday to Saturday and direct delivery (depending on distance)

We offer you a choice of a morning or afternoon time slot in order to allow for any traffic issues or delays, these are as follows – 

Morning – 8am – 12pm

Afternoon – 12pm – 4pm

Please note: Your goods will be sent directly to the delivery destination from collection and therefore someone will need to be available to take delivery of your goods when they arrive. 

If you need extra time to make your way to your destination we can offer the following alternatives, although please bear in mind the cheapest way to send your goods is direct.

 

1. We can hold your goods on the van for a maximum of 2 days, the cost will be a minimum of €200 or £180 per day. Please speak with one of our move coordinators for more information.

 

2. If your shipment is passing one of our depots in Folkestone, UK or Luxembourg we can arrange to bring your goods into storage, please see the following costs for this service –
 

For collections and deliveries to and from the Island of Venice, the price only includes up to the closest point that the van can access. Please bear in mind that this is usually the main car park on the Island, therefore you (as the customer) will need to arrange the local part of your collection or delivery by boat if required. This is valid for all islands where we have some restrictions on road transport.

Please note: During the month of August we cannot guarantee that part loads will be delivered within the specified time and may take longer.

All times and times slots are given in good faith, however due to the nature of the business and the long distances the drivers cover delays can sometimes occur. We will always seek to find an alternative solution if possible, however for clarification we do not offer compensation for late collections or deliveries

Our vans DO NOT come with blankets or loading equipment, these would need to be provided by the customer if necessary

 

Our vans DO NOT come with tail lifts as standard (you must request this upon booking and it would be subject to availability)

 

 

Insurance

Our quote excludes insurance cover, however rather than try to sell you unnecessary insurance like most of our competitors do for a further 3% only to find our your insurance has a whole list of limitations we offer a £40 per item or box indemnity for up to £10,000 per shipment. This is in the event of a total loss only or a missing item upon proof of a signed inventory. You may also find you already have insurance in place under your Household Policy or will be able to add removals insurance to your Household Policy for around £30 and if not there are many 3rd party providers on the internet who can help at much lower rates than than the 3% often quoted by most removals companies. Please refer to our INSURANCE PAGE on our website for full details where you will also find some suggestions if you wish to seek full cover. 

There is no cover in place for general breakages or transit damage with us or our insurers so please ensure your things are well protected and that your household insurance covers you for such matters, most have cover already built in but please check the small print.

 

Inventory 3-5 days before collection

You must send us a final inventory at least 3 to 5 working days before your move. Please also print two paper copies, one for yourself and one for the driver. All goods must be checked on and checked off the van/s upon collection and delivery, yourself and the driver must sign both copies. 

Excessive Weight

 

Each van can carry a maximum of 1000kgs (Full-load)

or 50 kgs per m3 (Part-load)
 

If your load goes overweight on collection you will be charged as per the following –

 

PART LOADS   

Each unit is made up of 1m or 50kgs (whichever is reached first)

You will be charged for each additional unit on a pro-rata basis based on your original booking

 

FULL LOADS (20m3 or 1000kgs, whichever is the greatest)

 

If your goods exceed 20m3 or 1000kgs you will have the option to either book an additional part load for another time or an extra van/s depending on the remainder of the goods left. We can usually arrange additional vans either on the same day or the next.

 

Excessive weight due to overloading the vans is the customer’s responsibility, all fines by Police, VOSA or any other foreign authorities will need to be paid by the customer before the vehicles are sent to the unloading destination. Fees for recovering overloaded goods will also apply.

 

Ferry and toll crossing charges

All tolls and mainland ferry crossings are included in the quote. However, some of the more remote or obscure Islands or destinations are not included (including some of the Greek Islands). If you are unsure please speak with one of our experienced move coordinators.

**In some cases for smaller shipments typically under 5m³ your goods may be sent on a pallet service**

**In rare cases if your goods are being transported to some of the smaller European Islands your goods may be sent by shipping container – any additional costs using this service will be covered by European Moving**

 

 

Customs Clearance

Our quotes include customs clearance fees. We will arrange this on your behalf for both Switzerland and Norway, unless you would prefer to arrange customs clearance yourself (with a customs agency). This service does not include any taxes or duties that may need to be paid. Please contact your move coordinator if you do not require this service.

**For all other countries which have customs implications (including Turkey, Canary Islands and Greenland) it is the customers responsibility to make the arrangements prior to collection.  We will not be able to collect your goods without the correct paperwork**
