Plan: If you have everything planned then less is going to go wrong. Make sure your plans are as thorough as they can be and make sure you h ave contingencies in place just for in case things do go wrong. Don’t leave anything to the last minute.
Pack the kitchen first and unpack the bedroom first: Kitchens may seem like the least important room to pack up but they are usually the most difficult so you will want to pack this room first. Bedrooms are the most important rooms to unpack first because there’s nothing worse than sleeping in a brand new house in a room that hasn’t been unpacked properly.
Keep pots and pans together using rubber bands: This way you wont need a separate lid box to go along with your pan boxes.
Keep essential things together: If you keep all the things you know you are going to need as soon as you get to your new place in one box then it will make it so you don’t have to search through 30 different boxes looking for what you need. It will also help if the boxes are colour coded.
Plan your move for the middle for the week: Everybody tries to move on the weekend and it costs more to move on the weekends so if at all possible it is usually better to pick a move for a midweek move.
